89.7fm is run by volunteers in our community who have a passion for radio & helping the community.

Our volunteers give their time each week to help us both on air and behind the scenes. We always need more volunteers throughout the year to help us get everything done! See below on how you can become a member & a volunteer...

Become A Member

By becoming a member of 89.7fm, you will be able to assist us to be part of your community. From being an announcer on-air, to helping find sponsors. You could help us behind the scenes in administration or producing promos, station ID's, or sponsorship announcements. Joining in with outside broadcasts might be your thing, or even just turning some sausages on a BBQ Fundraiser. There are many important roles & ways that you can help us be part of the community.

Membership fees are very reasonable, considering the advantages of being a volunteer. We also offer a discount for people with student, pensioner & health care cards.
